  • Women United- At Women United you will enjoy listening to brief, inspirational and informative talks from 5 key women from our local community. This program seeks to engage women on topics of career, life, and leadership. This event is on Tuesday, October 9th from 8:00-11:00 AM.
  • RESearch Kankakee County, IL- The inaugural RESearch Kankakee County, Illinois, event was held Thursday, April 4, 2019, in Bradley. More than 250 attended from across the local and regional development spectrum, including planning and design professionals, financial service providers, commercial investors, real estate brokers and other business service providers.
  • Women In Networking (WIN) Luncheons- The Kankakee County Chamber hosts montlhy events for their WIN program. Click link to learn more about this month's event and how to better networking in your field.

Camps

  • 2019 STEM Camp - Participants who successfully complete the camp and the online assignments that precede and follow can earn 3 hours of credit toward an engineering degree at Olivet Nazarene University, which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
  • i-Gen Program - Offered through the Kankakee Public Library, this program will teach coding to students ages 5-8. The library will visit local school partnerships for educational classes and also offer classes once a week at the library. Contact the library at 815-939-4564 for more information.
  • Leaders in Training- The Kankakee Area YMCA hosts multiple camps throughout the summer including their Leadership in Training camp that encourages students to get involved in their community and fosters leadership qualities in young adults..
  • Girl STEAM Summer Program- Presented by Kankakee Community College
  • Cavalier Career Camp- Presented by Kankakee Community College
  • Future Leaders Tour of Kankakee County - In this 2018 event, Kankakee County youth ages 14-18 had the opportunity to travel the County to tour the area's top industrial facilities, explore the region's agriculture business, learn about educational opportunities, and meet local legislators and first responders. Each day started at 8am and ended at 5pm. Lunch, snacks and water were provided everyday.
